Crushed Solidified Pink Clay Pigment Mammoth Painting

Here is an example of using solidified pink clay as pigment by first crushing it up into a powder and then adding water. I painted this Mammoth using a Yucca fiber brush.

I painted this little scene of a “Mammoth hunt” using Red Ochre from North Carolina, and some local yellow/brown & pink solidified clays. Used my rabbit fur brush and water.
